Hippo Heads
this is grandma's recipe. I don't remember what it was
originally, but this is what my young son called them.
6 oz chocolate chips
1/2 c Coke
3 T karo syrup
1 T rum flavoring
2 1/2 c graham cracker crumbs
1 c finely chopped pecans
2 c confectioners sugar-sifted
Chocolate Jimmies or toasted chopped pecans
Melt chocolate in a double boiler-remove and blend in Coke,
karo, and flavoring. Stir in crumbs, sugar and nuts. Mix
well (this will be sticky). Cover and chill 2 hours. Form
into small balls using a small melon baller. Roll in
Jimmies-put on a pan. Cover and chill overnight.
