Grilled Bacon Wrapped Shrimp
Glaze:
1 jar orange marmalade
1 teaspoon of hot sauce
2 tablespoon olive oil
salt and pepper
shrimp, shelled and deveined
jalapeno, seeded and sliced thin strips
thin bacon
You need 3 to 5 shrimp per serving, depending on size
(bigger the better for me) and a half slice of bacon per
shrimp.
Mix glaze in a saucepan and warm, stirring to combine. Wrap
each shrimp and slice of jalapeno with bacon. Secure with a
toothpick. I snip off toothpicks with shears so they are
easier to baste and turn.
Grill, basting with glaze until bacon is crisp. Usually, 3
to 4 minutes per side. If using less than jumbo shrimp,
partially precook the bacon in the microwave until soft.
Serve with Fried Rice and Asian Fruit Salad.
