Strawberry Ice Cream #3
2 pkg. strawberry Jell-O
2 c. sugar
1 pt. cream
chopped ice or cubes
2 c. strawberries
milk (to fill freezer 2/3 full)
ice cream salt
Dissolve jello in 1 cup boiling water. Mash strawberries. Makes 1
gallon frozen ice cream. Fill can only 2/3 full (allow for
expansion). Around can use 4 parts chopped ice to 1 part ice cream
salt. Turn dasher slowly until brine forms around the can. Turn
rapidly until crank turns hard. Remove dasher, plug hole, replace
lid, add more ice and salt to fill freezer and allow ice cream to
ripen about 4 hours. Or use automatic refrigerator directions for
freezing.
