Orange Iced Cranberry Cookies
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup margarine, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup chopped cranberries
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Combine sugars, margarine, sour cream, vanilla, eggs - blend well.
Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup - level off. Add flour, baking soda and
baking powder. Stir in chopped cranberries and nuts (do not over mix). Drop by
teaspoons (not too close). Bake at 350 degrees on lightly greased cookie sheet
for 11-13 minutes until golden brown. 5 dozen.
Icing:
2 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. margarine, melted
1 tsp. grated orange peel (if desired)
3 tbsp. orange juice
When cookies are cool put icing on. .
