Southern Barbecue Sauce
1 (18 oz.) bottle barbecue sauce
1/4 c. molasses or pancake syrup
1/4 c. cola (Coke)
1/4 c. minced onions
Combine all ingredients in heavy pan; heat slowly. Do not boil.
Makes a sweet tasting sauce for barbecue chicken or beef sandwiches.
For a really southern style sandwich, try adding cole slaw on top of
your sandwich.
