Cherry Nut Pound Cake
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1-1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1/4 tsp. mace
1 sm. jar of maraschino cherries
1 c. chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bundt cake pan. Cream together butter and
sugar. Add eggs, vanilla flavoring. Drain the fluid from 1 jar of maraschino
cherries. Add the fluid to milk to make 1 cup. Add dry ingredients alternately
with milk mixture. Add chopped or halved cherries and nuts to mixture. Pour into
a bundt pan and cook 1 1/4 hours at 350 degrees.
