Kay's Buttermilk Salad
1 can ( 20 ounce) crushed pineapple, drained
one 6 oz. box Peach Jell-o
2 tablespoons sugar
2 cups buttermilk
1 container ( 8 ounce) whipped topping
1 cup chopped pecans
Combine pineapple and sugar in saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring
constantly. Remove from heat. Add dry jello and stir until dissolved. Cool. Add
buttermilk and stir until combined. Fold in whipped topping and nuts. Spoon into
an 11x9x2" pan. Chill until firm. Cut into squares. Looks real pretty on lettuce
leaves.

Powdered buttermilk does not have to be mixed
separately. I just add the powder with my flour and the water with the my other
liquids and let it mix in the batter.
