Taffy
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/8 tsp. salt
Butter a large platter. Stir together the ingredients in a large saucepan. Heat
slowly until boiling, stirring constantly. Cook without stirring to hard ball or
260 degrees on candy thermometer. Pour at once onto platter. Cool. Add flavoring
and color if desired. Butter hands and pull until you get so you can't pull it
any more. Put on wax paper. Cut or break into pieces..
