I am in the spring
cleaning mode and decided to clean out my large collection
of
cookbooks and get rid of some. I came across some very old
books of my Mom's, and her handwritten recipes that
go back to 1935. I thought someone might be interested in
these three unusual Jelly and Jam recipes. These are not
TNT as far as I know, but it might be worth a try .
Wild Carrot or Queen Ann's Lace Jelly
15 flower heads
4 cups sugar
Wash flower heads well. Add water, bring to boil and simmer
15 minutes. Strain through cheese cloth.
Use 3 cups of the liquid and follow the recipe for mint
jelly that is on the box of pectin.
(I have no idea whether that recipe is still on the box, but
you could probably find it on-line)
