Tip on Buying Avocadoes
When buying Avocados make sure you choose ones that still
have a piece of the growing stem attached. Avocados which go
off quickly, invariably start to rot at this site because
they haven't been picked properly.
I got this tip from Anthony Worral Thompson when he was
picking avocados on his farm in Spain.
If you want to save half an avocado, keep the stone in it,
wrap in cling film and refrigerate.
Avocados are almost if not impossible to grow in my part of
Scotland with the result they are very expensive.
