My Best Vegetable Soup
1 Chuck roast (4 pounds)
Oil to brown
24 cups water
2 Swift Homemade soup starters
1 package Frozen Homestyle, Large cut Veggies
1/2 large onion. peeled and cut in 1/8s
1 can Tomatoes with juice (28oz)
3 stalks celery, chopped
1 large can Hominy, drained
1 large can Whole Kernel Corn, drained
Noodles, any kind
Soup bones (optional)
Chunked potatoes (optional)
Trim meat of fat and into bite size pieces. Brown in enough
oil not to stick in several batches. Bring a large pot of
water to a boil and add everything. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
Add noodles (I like macaroni) and potatoes if using after 1
hour This freezes real well but leave toes to freeze.
