I thought I would submit my recipe for a family favorite. it's a very easy one and since spring is around the corner some place, lol. So here it is.

Strawberry Cobbler Cake

1-1/4 cup butter (divided)
1 cup sugar (divided)
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-1/2 cup flour (divided)
1-1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
3 cups strawberries{ hulled and halved

Soften 3/4 cup butter and beat on medium. Add 3/4 cup sugar and continue to mix well. Mix in egg and vanilla. Still well. Combine 1 1/4 cup flour with the baking powder and salt. Add to butter mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Pour into a buttered 8" pan and top with strawberries cut side down. For the topping, combine 1/4 cup flour, 1/4 cup sugar in a small bowl. Cut in 1/4 cup chilled butter. Sprinkle over cobbler. Bake at 350* for 45 minutes. May be served with whipped cream on top.
We eat this a lot in the strawberry season, but have made it with other berries as well.
Enjoy, jana in vegas
