I made some good candy today from a recipe my neighbor gave me. I think if you all like peanut
butter, you will like this candy. It reminds me of Butterfinger bars.

Peanut Butter Crunch Bars

2 1/2 cups creamy (not crunchy) peanut butter
2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 cup white syrup (Karo)

Cook and stir sugar, water and syrup until it dissolves. Continue to cook until mixture reaches 300º exactly (very important) Then remove from heat and stir in peanut butter as quickly as
you can using a wooden spoon to mix it well. Then pour candy mixture on a greased cookie sheet. It will be very hot, grease your rolling pin and roll to about 3/8" thick. (I greased my hands and
patted it out some) When it is warm, cut into 1" to 1 1/2" squares with a pizza cutter. ( when I made the indentions in the candy, I ended up cutting the candy with the kitchen shears.) Cool completely and dip in melted chocolate and place on waxed paper until chocolate is set.

Enjoy
