This is my Orange Pound Cake recipe for Sandra in Oregon.
Orange Pound Cake
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup orange yogurt
2 Tsp. orange juice
1 Tsp. grated orange peel
6 eggs
3 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
Heat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour a 10 or 12 cup
Bundt pan. In a large mixing bowl, mix sugar and butter
until very light and fluffy. Add yogurt, orange juice and
orange peel.
Add eggs; mix well. Add all remaining ingredients; mix well.
Spoon into prepared pan.
Bake at 325 degrees for 60-65 minutes or until tested done.
Let cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan; cool completely on
rack. Drizzle with Orange Glaze if desired.
Orange Glaze
2 cups sifted powdered sugar
1 Tsp. butter, softened
2-4 Tsp. orange juice
1-2 tsp. grated orange peel
In medium bowl, mix sugar and butter. Gradually add juice
until desired consistency; mix until smooth. Stir in orange
peel. Pour over cake.
