This is for Kathi in Virginia. If you want to make a delicious Banana Cream Pie, and don't have all that much time to cook the filling, and let it cool, this is a excellent recipe. Even my picky sis in law, who didn't believe in using mixes, said this is the BEST Banana Cream Pie she'd ever tasted. I didn't have the heart to tell her it used instant pudding and Dream Whip!

Quick Banana Cream Pie

1 (9-inch) baked pie crust
1 package (4 serving size) instant vanilla pudding
1 envelope Dream Whip
1-1/2 cups cold milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
sliced bananas
1 cup whipping cream, whipped

In a small bowl, put pudding, Dream Whip, milk and vanilla, and beat on low speed of an electric mixer (I use my electric hand held portable mixer) until very thick, about 3 minutes. Pour one-third mixture into crust. Layer slices of banana on filling (I use enough to cover filling completely). Pour remaining filling over the top of bananas. Chill about 1 hour, until set. Top with whipped cream and slice 1 banana on top for garnish. Keep chilled in refrigerator until time to serve.
