Firehouse Hot Chili Powder
6 T. paprika
w2 T. turmeric
1 T. dried mild or hot chili peppers
1 t. cumin
1 t. oregano
1/2 t. cayenne
1/2 t. garlic powder
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. ground cloves
Mix all ingredients and grind to a fine powder using a
mortar and pestle, or
process in your food processor blender. Spice will keep for
up to 6 months on the pantry shelf. To use: This powder is
somewhat more pungent and fresher tasting than a packaged
brand, so use a bit less. Posted by chief_cook2 on
