Nancy here is a cinnamon sauce for Apple Pie. It came from Food Recipes. I have not tried it yet. It was wanted by Sandy in Iowa in July 2 newsletter.

Hot Cinnamon Sauce for Apple Pie

1/4 Cup sugar
2 Tablespoon flour
1 Cup water
3 Tablespoon lemon juice
1 Tablespoon butter
1 Teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 Teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 Teaspoon allspice
Dash of salt

Combine sugar and flour in a small saucepan: add water and lemon juice, mixing well. Cook over med. Heat, stirring constantly. Until mixture thickens. Add butter, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Serve sauce warm over apple pie.
