There was a recent request for chocolate dessert recipes; unfortunately I did not save the name of the reader who made the request. I am guessing that she already has this recipe or one very similar, but thought I would go ahead and submit it, as it is relatively easy to make and always a big hit. I hope she sends in some of her favorite recipes, since she appears to have an extensive repertoire of dessert recipes.

Chocolate Dessert

1 box devil's food chocolate cake mix
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 jar hot fudge sauce (like used for ice cream)
1 small container whipped topping or more (vanilla or chocolate)
chocolate chips or crushed up candy bar

Bake cake as directed in a deep 13x9" pan.
While still hot poke holes into the cake using the handle of a wooden spoon. Pour condensed milk over hot cake. Let sit awhile until cooled and spread on

chocolate fudge sauce. Refrigerate until cooled completely and then top with whipped topping and chocolate chips. Chill at least 3 hours.
