Peach Bread
3 c Crushed fresh peaches
6 tablespoon Sugar
2 c Flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
1/2 c Vegetable shortening
1 1/2 c Sugar
2 large Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 c Pecans, coarsely chopped
Preheat oven to 325. In bowl combine peaches and sugar. In another
bowl, combine dry ingredients.
In a large mixing bowl cream shortening and 1 1/2 cups sugar, eggs
and vanilla. Combine all ingredients and blend until smooth. Fold in
pecans. Pour into a floured and greased loaf pan. Bake till golden
brown about 55 minutes.
