Funnel Cakes

4 cups milk
4 eggs
1/2 teaspoon soda dissolved in a little warm water
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 cups sifted flour, approximately

Flour enough to form a batter that will run slowly through a funnel into hot fat. (Yes, that's the way the recipe reads!) I've made this and I start with 3 c and add until thick enough to run slowly through a funnel. Remember that batter will firm up upon standing. Fry at 375F. [Source unkn]
